La Galerie 12 a eu ses débuts en 1995 lorsque des artistes cherchaient à se prévaloir d’un lieu d’exposition dans la région de Moncton. Roméo Savoie en fut le premier président. Chaque artiste exposant fait partie d’une programmation et est responsable pour toutes les activités faisant partie de leur exposition, tel le vernissage, accrochage, éclairage, communications, etcétéra : La Galerie 12 opère sur une base coopérative.
Galerie 12 had its beginnings in 1995 when artists sought to set-up an exhibition space in the Moncton area. Roméo Savoie was its first president. Each showing artist is part of a schedule and is responsible for all activities that are part of their exhibition as the opening, hanging, lighting , communications, etcetera. Gallery 12 operates on a cooperative basis.
